Zanzibar Nursery Bedding

As of today I am 24 weeks or 6 months. The baby has been extremely active. It now has its schedule. It wakes me up and keeps me up :). That’s its schedule! It’s very reassuring to be awaken by thumping in your tummy.

The nursery is almost finished. All we need is the crown molding and chair rail. So far it looks just the way I wanted it. I had Eric working round the clock to try to get it painted. We worked so hard, but very pleased with the result. We used a glaze and tinted it ourselves with regular paint. We sponged the top half and I spent about 3 hours taping the bottom half to make exact width stripes. Like I said it was a lot of work, but well worth it. I used a green color to go with the jungle theme. The sponging even looks like tree leaves so we might make a tree out of plaster. I will post a link to the bedding so you can get an idea of what the print looks like.

The Baby Bathroom

Raise your hand if you knew we’re pregnant. Well, we are. The due date is approx. October 20th. If you didn’t know we’re pregnant, then you probably don’t know us. This is our first. We’re really excited and we have a lot of preperation work to do. We’ve nearly completed the baby’s room, but there’s still more to do. There’s always more.

You may or may not know the side project Eric and I do on almost a daily basis. For the past 4 months Eric and I have been doing contract work for: “Mystery Shopping” companies. Basically the companies pay you to tell them what kind or how well of service they are providing. We started with a couple of Whataburger shops and in a short time we were getting paid to visit Astroworld, Luther?s, James Coney Island, Sonic, banks and so many others. Sounds too good to be true… I thought so until we received our first paycheck. On our assignment to Astroworld we took my sister Yazmin and her best friend Ariana. I had been promising Yaz that I would take her, but something always came up It couldn?t had worked out better… this company paid for our tickets, paid us a fee for telling them how our experience was and above all we all had a great time doing it.
