Finally, I finished the alternative certification program. When the administrators told me it would take a year I thought it was a long time. Now, that time just flew by, I realized how fast the entire process really is. It will be odd not having to study for certifications, attend after-school graduate classes and first year teaching training. Not to mention those Saturdays when all you wanted to do is sleep just another five minutes. It would of honestly been a lot harder if it wasn’t for Eric helping me and working around my crazy schedule. I am looking forward to starting the school year. I feel better prepared and I know that it won’t be such a stressful year. Most of all I will be able to enjoy a family life with Eric and our soon-to-be addition.

So he says that I said, “build me a website and I will write more”. Funny thing is that he is always looking at starting a new site and will write on just about anything, including what he talks about with his dear friend. He should have posted the one about them discussing vacuum cleaners. Thats when you know they are married or soon to be. So here I am finally posting again for the second time ever on any of his web-sites.

Tonight I finished one of my classes at St. Thomas. What a relief!! Even though I still have class at night I am still enjoying my summer “off.” We even made a quick get away trip last weekend to Cozumel to enjoy our last summer not carrying a diaper bag. I will be leaving it up to Eric to write about the trip. For now I know he has some pictures up.

I promised Eric that I will be posting more. A lot of you have asked me how the pregnancy is going so this will be the easiest way of keeping in touch. Stay tune and I will write more about the baby.

I wanted to share some of my teacher moments. My class was cut into 12 wonderful children. You could say I have the ideal class. It’s a small class and they are all so motivated to learn. All of my teacher moments have occured at my parent conferences. My first was with the parent of a child who is very quite and forgetful. His mother told me that her son had told her that the only three people he knew really cared about him. He said it was his father, mother, and his teacher. My heart sank, I did not realize what kind of impact I had given a child who I had only been with in five weeks. It was awesome!!!

Hello to all!! A couple of you have asked either Eric or I about my new job. Well everyone is right, teachers are under paid!!!! My class is about 23 kids. Apparently the teachers from last year did not do a good job about separating the English speakers from the Spanish speakers so now I must break the news to my class that some of them won’t be my students.
