6 Month Update

19 Apr

Well I am finally updating you on Emily. Some of you spent time with her on Easter and saw how big she has gotten. Her last checkup went great. She had her 3 set of shots. Eric joined me since he said I couldn’t handle to see her hurt, he was right. Emily now weighs 15 1/2 pounds and is 27 1/4 inches tall. I don’t know how she doesn’t pack the pounds. She eats anything you put in front of her. Especially bannanas, she is our own little monkey. Emily loves to roll over and is trying to crawl. She enjoys being read to and her favorite song is “the itsy bitsy spider.” You should see how she starts to smile and sing with me. She has been a joy. As mentioned before we have not been so good about writing you about Emi, but there are always plenty of pictures to view. Enjoy!

One Link for You, Two for Me…

12 Sep

What?
I added a section of links called ’5 Minute Linkirectory’.

Why?
Because these are [debatably] useful links that should take you about 5 minutes (or less) to visit. The benefits should last you at least twice as long. I could have called it 5 for 5 because I’m only going to list 5 at a time. The rest can be found in the Link Archive (also found at the top of this site).

When?
Now. Go click on ‘em.

Where?
You should see them directly to your right. Look for the clever title.

Who?
Uh… thought we covered this?

Celebrating Week 33 with a 4D Ultrasound

2 Sep

We’ve made it to week number 33 out of a possible 40+ week pregnancy. To celebrate, we sprung for a 4D ultrasound of the baby since it wasn’t covered by our insurance. It was worth it, even though the baby wouldn’t fully cooperate. It (that’s its name for now since we aren’t finding out what we’re having) kept its hands and feet in front of its face nearly the entire time. When the baby was blocking our view, its face was smushed up against the uterus which gave us a picture similar to when you try and photocopy your own face. I uploaded the ultrasound photos to my Flickr account, so either click on the image above our click on the Flickr links in the right column.
