4th of July 2005
4 Jul
Well, the 2005 installment of 4th of July has come & gone for us. What’s that? You say today is the 4th? Yes, you are correct. What I mean by this is that we have already celebrated the holiday. Every year my family gets together at my aunt & uncle’s house in Richmond/Rosenberg (which I wrote a little more about here). For convenience, we had our festivities on the 3rd, instead of the 4th. This year seemed hotter than all the rest. If it wasn’t in the triple digits, it sure felt like it.
So, what did we actually do on the 4th? After Elizabeth watered the lawn I groomed, we roasted corn [on the cob], ate leftover lasagna, and drank non-alcoholic piña coladas (we’re pregnant, remember?) while we watched everyone in our neighborhood shoot off fireworks.
Oh, and congratulations to my friends Jason and Cassie for getting hitched today @ 9:50am.
